Project Description
YOU DON’T TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MAKE IT
As homo sapiens, we view the world in colour courtesy of the cone cells in our eyes. However, it is sometimes an improvement to view photographic images in B/W depending on the subject. Imagine a coal-miner emerging from the black pit covered with coal dust as a colour image, or a colourful rainbow as a B/W image. A black and white image shows texture, whereas a coloured image adds brightness, reminding us how the viewed the subject as we opened the shutter.
